DIMITRA KOFITSAS, PT, MPT, MDT, CCRP

Dimitra Kofitsas, owner of Tails of Rye, graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Masters degree in the Science of Physical Therapy. She spent 12 years as a human Physical Therapist, specializing in orthopedics, before deciding to devote her life to animals. She received her canine physical rehabilitation training through the University of Tennessee's Vet/PT Program for Canine Rehabilitation. She’s been working as a canine rehabilitation therapist for 8 years and opened Tails of Rye in 2006. Since then her state of the art facility in Rye, New Hampshire, has attracted an ever increasing number of dedicated pet owners and earned her the respect of the many local veterinarians she works with.

Dimitra played professional basketball for the Greek European Cup Team and also played for the Springfield Spirit Pro-Basketball Team. When she isn't working she spends her time mountain biking, running, training for triathlons, and playing with her dogs, labrador retrievers Tobie and Jordie.
