Samantha, a 7 year old chocolate lab who competes in agility, was suffering from a soft tissue injury in her shoulder when her veterinarian suggested physical therapy. At Tails of Rye Samantha's physical therapy protocol included laser, ultrasound, massage, stretches, walking on the underwater treadmill and swimming. After successful rehabilitation she's back at competing in agility again. |
Molly, a pointer cross, was a year old when she had a femoral head osteotomy. When she came to Tails of Rye for an initial evaluation her leg was severely atrophied and she was not using it at all. Her physical therapy regimen included laser, ultrasound, e-stim, walking on the underwater treadmill and swimming. After rehabilitation light agility work was added for strengthening and exercise. |
